According to the “Sunset Skies” survey, carried out by Bounce, the sunset in Rio was named the 4th most beautiful in the world and the most mentioned on Instagram. In the general ranking, Rio came after Santorini (Greece), Bali (Indonesia) and Hawaii (USA), and is the only Brazilian city on the list that includes 46 destinations.

The search is based on the number of recommendations from travel articles and blogs and social media posts.

Rio Boat Tour

It housed modern cannons and was considered one of the most advanced fortresses in South America at the time. Furthermore, in 1930 and during the military coup, the fort was the stage for historic political moments.

It currently houses the Army Historical Museum and is open for visits.

Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon

With almost 8 km in perimeter, it has different pleasant spots to enjoy the sunset. more varied activities, in addition to providing beautiful photos. Furthermore, the place is beautiful and charming, any time of day, and inviting for the most diverse activities. Walking, running, pedal boats and bicycles are the most popular during the week. Last, but certainly not least, the classic Arpoador stone, one of the most famous points in the city, especially at sunset, could not be missed. Located at the tip of Arpoador beach, the rock forms the divide with Praia do Diabo, which carries this name because when the sea is rough and undertow, it becomes very violent, and consequently, a dangerous place.

The famous stone has panoramic views of the beaches of Ipanema and Leblon, in addition to Morro Dois Irmãos and Pedra da Gávea that complement the scenery.
